Do you want to experience a miracle?
Well, you’ve come to the right place, because I’ve got a simple formula for you. Now, I didn’t make it up, it’s not my theory. It’s right in the Gospels. Here it is:
First, leave everyone and everything.
Then encounter Jesus.
Then experience a miracle.
Really, you can see it for yourself in the Gospels. Look at the apostles. They all left everyone and everything to be with Jesus for three years, and they saw endless miracles. Look at the blind and deaf man, look at Zachaeus, or the woman with the internal blood sickness. Or how about the woman at the well, or blind Bartimaeus, or Dismas, the good thief on the cross. It’s all the same formula: leave everyone and everything, encounter Jesus, experience a miracle.
Now, I tell people that I experience miracles all the time. How? they wonder. Well, it’s because I have that formula down pat. Every day, I leave everyone and everything, and I go to encounter Jesus in the Bible, in the Eucharist, in the poor and sick, the disabled and the marginalized. And I experience miracles. Every day.
If you want to experience a miracle in your life, if you need healing or help, whether it’s in your body or your life course, or your relationships or the very depths of your heart, then there really is a way to do it. Go, leave everyone and everything, and encounter Jesus.
Experience a miracle.
“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty again.” (Jn 6:35)
